Meghan Markle's Favourite Label Is Coming To London Fashion Week

Here’s yet more proof of Meghan Markle’s sartorial pushing power. Sentaler, the future royal’s favourite outwear brand, is set to make its London Fashion Week debut this season.

The Canadian brand, which was founded by designer Bojana Sentaler in 2009 and specialises in luxurious, classic coat designs, will come to the UK in February to coincide with the biannual fashion event, allowing British fans to preview the Autumn 2018 collection (and get a sneak preview of the Duchess-to-be’s winter wardrobe in the process…)

Sentaler branched out into the US market last year, launching in department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, but is as yet unavailable in the UK.

‘We have been seeing an increased demand for Sentaler in the UK and look forward to previewing the collection in London this season,’ the brand told Womenswear Daily.

Meghan sported the brand’s long wrap coat in light camel for Christmas with the royals at Sandringham, pairing the classic style with a Club Monaco wrap dress in brown velvet and a distinctive hat in a matching shade, the handiwork of A-list milliner Philip Treacy. She was also spotted wearing Sentaler’s alpaca outerwear on the Toronto set of Suits last year.

Sentaler doesn’t just come with the Meghan Markle seal of approval: her future sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, has also previously worn the brand in a simple but effective display of diplomatic dressing. For the royal tour of Canada back in 2016, Kate chose to wear a shorter version of Sentaler’s trademark wrap coat in light grey, perhaps nodding to Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau’s signature style (the Canadian First Lady wore the same style in white for her husband Justin’s inauguration ceremony).
