The Mulberry Roxanne. Leather, studded, and belted, shook up the early noughties , swinging from the elbows of fashions finest: Kate Moss and Alexa Chung. Now, more than 20 years later, the cult bag is making its return for 2025.

Mulberry has reimagined the Roxanne in four new iterations, staying true to its signature brass hardware while updating the buckle and streamlining the silhouette. The Mini and Small Roxanne are closest to the original shape, perfect for those who loved the noughties classic, while the shoulder bags are more fresh take. Rich shades like chocolate suede, deep green, and black feel perfectly suited forautumn outfit inspo. And to make it even more suited to the season, you can add some fun bag charms.

The Roxanne’s return is part of a bigger conversation: our wardrobes are leaning into the past, with the resurgence of Chloe Paddington, the reimagined Louis Vuitton Speedy and the Balenciaga City Bag.

To celebrate the revival, Mulberry enlisted long-time collaborator Tim Walker for the campaign, starring Cynthia Erivo. She shared: ‘As a born and bred Londoner I remember longing for a Mulberry – the ultimate statement bag – so this moment really feels full circle. The campaign has captured the Roxanne bag’s rebellious and romantic spirit, something that represents my own style. I believe that style centres on authentic self-expression and collaboration, and this drew me to partnering with such an iconic British brand who champion creativity, craftsmanship, and cultivate a sense of community.’

For vintage lovers, the original Roxanne is still available via Mulberry Exchange and other secondhand platforms. But for 2025, the Roxanne family is officially back and ready to be shopped, styled, and loved all over again.
