Not only one of our favourite actresses, Michelle Williams reigns supreme as one of our all-time favourite style stars. The Louis Vuitton face never puts a sartorial foot wrong, and has a way of looking impeccably chic and effortlessly cool, all at the same time.

The saffron yellow Vera Wang gown worn by Michelle Williams to the 2006 Oscars is regularly cited as one of the best Oscar dresses of all time. Yellow is not the easiest shade to pull off - especially for those with a pale complexion and blonde hair - but Williams did it with aplomb.

And it appears yellow must be a favourite hue of hers. This weekend the actress once again chose the colour for a big red carpet appearance.

Walking the red carpet with Manchester By The Sea co-star Casey Affleck at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Williams wore a beautiful pastel yellow gown by Louis Vuitton. Featuring embossed gold straps and cutaway detailing, Williams looked every bit the Hollywood star.

One stop of many on her awards season tour, the big question that remains is: will Williams revisit yellow again for the Oscars?
