In what promises to be the revelatory interview to beat all revelatory interviews with Oprah, Meghan Markle chose a black-and-white belted dress by Giorgio Armani. At the end of the 30-second teaser, Oprah refers to 'shocking things' the couple has said, while Harry admits it has been 'unbelievably tough, but we don't actually hear a response from Markle. Viewers will have to wait until the full show, Oprah with Meghan and Harry, airs on Sunday.
We can say, however, that she looked remarkably poised. Along with the triple-silk georgette dress, Markle chose to wear her favourite pumps, Aquazzura's Purist style, along with an aquamarine necklace from jeweller Pippa Small, and a diamond bracelet that belonged to Princess Diana.
What's been notable in her last few appearances is that she's allowed herself to wear clothes from distinctly high-end brands. This Armani dress costs $4,700 (around £3,370), while for last week's appearance on Spotify, Markle chose a lemon-printed dress from another luxury brand Oscar de la Renta. As part of the royal family, Markle did wear designer labels - she was a devoted wearer of Givenchy after its then-creative director, Clare Waight-Keller, designed her wedding dress, as well as Emilia Wickstead, Brandon Maxwell and Victoria Beckham - but was always careful to mix in pieces from both the high street and brands with a sustainable focus.
Of course, this is probably just because she is doing far fewer public appearances since stepping down from the royal family last year. It should be noted that for her brief appearance via FaceTime on last week'sLate Late Show with James Corden, Markle wore a smocked dress that cost around $30 from Velvet Torch.
