The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Euston station on Sunday, December 6 to embark on their 48 hour, 1,250 mile tour of the UK by Royal Train. They were met with a very festive welcome, including a live performance of Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin' Stevens. Given the plummeting temperatures, we can certainly expect to see some of Kate's best coats on this royal tour – the first of which was an old Alexander McQueen coat that the Duchess has worn before. She paired it with a tartan scarf first seen in 2016 during her tour of Canada – it's from York Scarves, a brand which sells on Etsy, and costs £14.95.
The scarf in question is the Canadian Tartan Maple Leaf Scarf, which makes sense as to why Kate took it to Canada with her in 2016, given her penchant for dressing to a theme. She's also become something of a master in diplomatic dressing, of which we'll no doubt see more over the next couple of days.
While the scarf is still in stock, it's unsurprisingly selling quickly since Kate was spotted in it again. If you're struggling to think of great Christmas present ideas, this is surely a no-brainer for any K-Mid super fans in your life – at £14.95, it's affordable and, as Kate has proved, is timeless.
A slightly more extravagant present would be Kate's gloves, which cost £95 from Cornelia James. She actually has them in three different colours and has worn each pair regularly over the years.
