Her blonde platinum hair? 24/7 glamour both on and off-screen? Decades on, the Marilyn Monroe-effect shows no signs of waning. For those in need of vintage style inspo you just need to head to your local HMV and re-watch classics from Niagara and How To Marry A Millionaire to once again full in love with the style icon, with a flair for pinched in waists and signature red lipstick. Marilyn’s favourite accessory? Diamonds, of course.

So to celebrate Swarovski's’s sparklers on the silver screen, the brand’s called on ambassador Karlie Kloss to play dress up for a new mini-series - re-imagining legendary scenes from the most fashionable films in history…

‘This campaign is all about juxtaposing classic and modern style,’ Karlie Kloss says in a statement. ‘I have always been an admirer of the timeless Hollywood glamour of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, and being able to evoke their iconic movie scenes and add a modern spin was such a fun experience.’

The 24-year-old model, student and tech aficionado recreates a modern-day interpretation of that Marilyn moment in 1953 hit Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Hot pink dress? Check. Drenched in diamonds? Check.

As Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Kloss wears Audrey’s signature LBD (with a lot more sequins) and the archive pearl ‘Enlace’ necklace. Polishing off her look with the most luxe item of them all...a diamond coffee cup.

‘What I love most about icons like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe is the confidence they bring to every scene and character they played,’ Kloss adds. ‘They’ve shown that a woman who is confident and strong-willed will always be in style.’
