Not content with just running her very successful organic beauty empire, The Honest Company, Alba is adding another string to her bow. This time her entrepreneurial move focuses on fashion, and in particular denim - a natural move for Alba who is rarely spotted out of a pair of faithful skinnies, and admittedly obsessed with denim.
‘I probably have two full racks of denim, and each hanger is doubled up. It’s excessive. It’s next-level. I wear so much of it,’ she told Vogue US last year.
For her first fashion project Alba has partnered with premium denim label DL1961, and designed a 18-piece collection devoted to her beloved denim. The actress also stars in the campaign for the new collection dubbed Jessica Alba x DL1961.
The collection focuses specifically on flattering styles which claim to give a 'contoured' denim look. The tight weaved fabric is engineered to suck you in, and the clever placement of pockets and seams sculpt the body.
Best of all, you don’t need a body like Alba to reap the benefits. The collection was created to flatter all body types, and during the design process fittings were completed on four different body shapes.
From classic straight cut jeans and rolled up boyfriends to flares and leather-effect rocker trousers, there really is a style for everyone.
Shop the collection now at DL1961.com and in Harrods and Harvey Nichols from next month.
