‘Tis the season for Christmas parties and subsequently the inevitable wardrobe crises. However, fear not if the thought of slipping into a sequin encrusted bodycon dress sends shivers down your spine, there are many other ways to sartorially celebrate the festive season.

If you’re looking for alternative inspiration, look no further than the perpetually stylish Haim. At last night’s Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party the trio wore not one, but two perfect party outfits. While the girls were dressed in head-to-toe Dior (jealous, us?), their ensembles are definitely something we can recreate at home or via the high street

First up, on the red carpet they wore a co-ordinating combination of sparkling metallic pieces styled with cool-girl accessories. Alana wore a star printed corset dress with a leather beret while Danielle styled a pair of tailored trousers with a velvet bandeau top, and Este sported a sparkly lurex body with an embellished midi skirt.

For their big performance the girls did a quick costume change swapping into red outfits complete with matching knee-high lace-up boots. Both Alana and Este wore sparkling red dresses (with Alana adding a sheer midi over the top), while Danielle wore red leather trousers and a slinky shirt.

And there you have it, all the inspiration you need for party dressing with a difference. If only it was so easy to get there envy-inducing hair?
