Eddie Redmayne has landed his latest starring role as the new face of Prada.
The Oscar-winning actor appears in the Italian fashion house's AW16 campaign in a series of images shot by Craig McDean, revealed on the brand's Instagram page yesterday.
In the caption, the brand described Redmayne as 'one of contemporary cinema's most celebrated actors.' Well, quite.
In a statement, Prada explained why Eddie was a natural choice for the campaign: 'Redmayne is no stranger to immersing himself in historically significant characters. Here, [he] assumes a number of roles: hero, villain, revolutionary.'
It's not the first time that the Theory Of Everything star has appeared in a major fashion campaign: he has modelled for Burberry on multiple occasions, making his debut in 2008 alongside the likes of Lily Donaldson and Agyness Deyn and starring opposite Cara Delevingne in a 2012 campaign.
And for his next role? Eddie will star as Newt Scamander in the first installment of the much-anticipated Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, which hits screens in November this year. 2016 is also the year that he'll become a dad for the first time - the actor announced that he is expecting his first child with wife Hannah Bagshawe at the Golden Globes in January.
