Birkenstocks Just Got The Carrie Bradshaw Seal Of Approval

And just like that, she fell for the ultimate flats.

Carrie Bradshaw owns a pair of Birkenstocks. There's a sentence you probably never thought you'd read. This is the woman, after all, who practically had an identity crisis when she was forced to walk home in borrowed plimsolls after her shoes (a pair of crystal-bucked silver Manolos, of course) were stolen from a friend's hallway.

But fast-forward a few decades, and add a plot line involving hip surgery on And Just Like That, and suddenly she's embracing the most reliable shoe out there. This shouldn't really come as a surprise. Birkenstock has had a booming few years, positioning itself as the ultimate in off-duty footwear, with a celebrity fan club that includes Kendall Jenner, Sienna Miller, Dakota Johnson and Olivia Munn. And now Bradshaw - the most anti-flat woman who would wear heels to take a dog for a walk - has pledged her allegiance to Birkenstock.

She chose the brand's Madrid, a single-strap sandal that will serve you all summer long, but the fashion crowd's current obsession is the clogs, which offer a little more coverage while the weather's decidedly meh. (Let's face it, Bradshaw might only wear hers until she's recovered, but even she couldn't resist the Boston Big Buckle, the brand's shearling-covered clogs with a platform sole.) Here are our five favourite styles that you can shop right now. Oh and don't forget socks.
