As soon as filming started for And Just Like That, fans were delighted to discover that the show's costume designers, Danny Santiago and Molly Rogers, were taking pains to incorporate familiar friends when it came to Carrie.
As well as choosing some choice vintage pieces for each character (Charlotte York Goldenblatt's 1996 Givenchy ruffled blouse is particularly genius), Carrie's favourite accessories have come back for a second showing.
Because even Carrie, the woman who spent $40,000 on shoes, understands the need to recycle her wardrobe. Fans went particularly wild for the 'Roger' belt - a studded waist-cincher from Streets Ahead - that made its debut in the first film. And then there's the blue satin Manolos, Carrie's wedding day shoes that play a poignant role in the first episode.
Which begs the question: where have these items been for the past decade or so? According to Rogers, they've been nestled in the archive of SJP, who has saved certain pieces over the decades that she's worked onSATC__. ‘It’s almost like some of the accessories or outfits are friends,’ Rogers told Grazia.
