It doesn't take a genius to know celebrity's wardrobe is going to cost a lot. But just how much are we talking? In one of the latest instalments of Vogue's 7 Days, 7 Looks, a video series where a celebrity itemises their daily outfits with helpful categories such as 'party' and 'vintage shopping day', viewers get an inside look at the wardrobe of, drumroll please, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz.
And according to The Daily Mail, the couple's weekly wardrobe apparently costs around £80,000. That's approximately £11,500 per day between the pair. Wowza. Of course, it's probably not that surprising considering that for their 'just one thing' look - which, I'm guessing, means a look that revolves around one really great garment - Nicola chooses a vintage jacket from Chanel (a gift from her mum) and a vintage bag from Louis Vuitton (a gift from Brooklyn). Brooklyn's 'one thing' is what he calls a 'fishnet top', which he pairs with Dr Martens. (He likes to say Doctor Martens, she likes to say Doc Martens, it's a whole thing.) He also says that he takes the insoles out so that he can be more grounded. 'That's sweet,' says Nicola.
For their 'vintage shopping day', Brooklyn actually wore his father-in-law's jeans. Yes, really. David isn't the only cool dad in town. 'Before we started, I wore full tweed suits,' he says at one point. 'The full tweed was a bit much,' she says. But wait a minute, if he's wearing her dad's jeans, how is their weekly wardrobe costing £80,000?
Well on Wednesday - which was 'each other's favourite looks' day - Nicola wore a leather trench coat from Saint Laurent, platform boots from Versace, jeans from Celine, and a bag from Givenchy. That'll do it.
Thursday is dinner meeting, work lunch or work brunch day, which means a two-piece checked suit, a very nice vintage set from Alaïa, along with a favourite carry-all from Bottega Veneta, which she insists fits a laptop. 'No computer's fitting in that,' says Brooklyn, who also admits that he dresses like 'full dad.' In fact, he says, 'I can't wait to have the baby thing with a baby on the back.'
