The first series ofBridgerton may have landed on Netflix back in December 2020 but it seems the world's collective obsession with the show has not faltered. Firstly, we all started desperately searching for fashion and homewares that gave us Regency vibes and then Hill House – purveyors of the infamous Nap Dress – announced a collection of dresses made in collaboration with the show. Now? Well, you can literally walk a mile in the shoes of Daphne Bridgerton herself.
Malone Souliers is collaborating with Bridgerton on a 14-piece collection of shoes and accessories, all inspired by key looks from the show. And, after a very long wait, they're all available to buy as of today, with styles for both men and women which mean you can play out your Daphne/Duke of Hastings fantasy in sartorial form.
One of our favourites is a classic pointed pump 'reupholstered' in duck egg blue jacquard with yellow and pink roses, the Maureen. Another is a feathered sandal in a flirtatious shade of peacock blue, the Sonia. It's an interesting marriage of styles, seeing as Malone Souliers is known for its cool, contemporary take on footwear and Bridgerton is, well, set in the 19th century. But as you can see - it works.
'I’m a huge fan of Bridgerton,' Mary Alice Malone, creative director and founder of Malone Souliers, told us last year. 'It revisits the past with a sense of revolution and joy, which is exactly how I approach shoemaking. This partnership has been fascinating from a design perspective, allowing us to embrace the pomp and unabashed splendour of Regency fashion. But it also has felt like such a natural fit. I’m always inspired by the creative possibilities we can find in our past, but, also, the importance of always being innovative and daring in my work.'
Why not have a browse to really whet your appetite before the next series drops on March 25. By then, you'll be even more prepared for a slice of Bridgerton style.
