Bridgerton, the smash hit Netflix show that saved our sanity during the height of lockdown, continues to genuinely influence all aspects of our lives, not just our TV time. Initially released in 2020, we are now two, nearly three seasons in, and the hype around both its characters and the Regency aesthetic surrounding them has yet to wane.

Now that Bridgerton is just three months away from returning for its third season, new pictures have emerged and we're already dissecting every minute detail to see what 2024 has in store for us.

Of course, Netflix is keeping very tight-lipped on the major plot of the third season, but one thing we do know is that the new season will centre around Derry Girls' Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington, and her relationship with Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton.

So what can top this news? Well, dear readers, you'll be pleased to hear that Ruggable has a new collaboration with Bridgerton, meaning we can Regency-ify our own homes.

Announcing their exciting collaboration, Ruggable says 'The collection transforms any home into an extravagant and decadent space. With designs featuring soft palettes and delicate patterns, it's easier than ever to incorporate romance into everyday life in an approachable way'. The Regency core trend took off ever since Bridgerton first came on our screens, where we saw a fascination for, and re-discovery of aristocratic, regal furnishings, consisting of brass handles, antique furniture, and - of course - luxurious rugs.

So what does the Ruggable x Bridgerton collaboration collection actually consist of? You can expect five specially designed patterns, available in a wide variety of different sizes and shapes, alongside a further six regency designs to complement the Bridgerton styles. And, you can even customise whether the rug pad and rug cover is flatwoven, or tufted. For example, flatwoven is best for under doorways, beneath rolling furniture, or under a dining room table, whereas tufted is a thicker texture and a softer feel, ideal for living spaces, playrooms, and bedrooms.

What are our top picks from the collection? Keep reading to find out.

Bridgerton Night Of Enchantment Royal Plum Rugruggable

With the same design as the rug above, this particular version stands out for its punchy tonal palette of rich velvety plum, overlaying a tonal stripe background.

During the run of season two, a whopping 300% increase was noted for 'wisteria plants' on Google search. What's more, there was an increase of 28% for 'antique chairs' and, amusingly, there was a 16% rise in searches for 'plinth'. We predict much will be the same when season three begins streaming in May.

Priyanka Patel, eBay's senior trading manager said: 'Inspired by Bridgerton, we see shoppers embrace trends of the 19th century, with an uptake in fashion looks such as corsets and puff sleeves and a turn to more traditional hobbies, which include afternoon tea and sewing.'

Lyst, too, has said that since we all started watching Bridgerton back in 2020, searches for corsets have risen by 123%, while the other most popular enquiries have been for pearl and feather headbands (+49%), long gloves (+23%) and empire line dresses (+93%). It's calling the trend 'Regencycore', with the likes of Simone Rocha, Brock Collection, Erdem and Rasario leading the way.

Bridgerton seasons one and two are now available to watch on Netflix. Season three will premiere on May 16th, 2024.
