Amazon Prime Can Now Tell You Which Outfit Is Better

We all remember the opening scene in 1995 cult film Clueless, right? When Cher picks out her outfit by using a computer programme that matches her clothes until she finds the perfect look?

Well now that is set to become a (sort of) reality thanks to Amazon Prime's new 'Outfit Compare' tool. The technology, which is basically a virtual stylist, tells users whether or not a combination of clothing works together based on fit, colour, styling and current trends. It compares two looks, giving one of three responses: ‘Definitely pick this one,’ ‘We like this better,’ and ‘It was a close call.’

Fun, right?

It's not entirely surprising that Amazon has gone down this route - after all, it's been majorly building up its fashion content in the past few years, with designer collections available on Amazon Fashion, its hit fashion-themed TV show The Collection on Amazon Prime, and the opening of a new fashion-dedicated photographic studio.
