Come fashion month, the global media attention falls on the four sartorial capitals of the world - New York, London, Milan and Paris.

And this year, social media coverage was stepped up a notch as there was a major new component involved.

The recent launch of Instagram Stories and Instagram Live enabled bloggers, journalists and celebrities to share the live action via their feed for the very first time. Kendall Jenner stole the top spot for having the most liked photo on Instagram during fashion month with an image of her, Bella Hadid, Justine Skye and Lily Donaldson. The 21-year-old model's picture racked up more than 1.8 million likes on Instagram in total.

The Most Liked Photo On Instagram By A Designer:

Burberry uploaded an image of Kendall Jenner donning the brand's couture cape during their autumn/winter '17 show and it garnered more than 57,000 likes. The snap came out on top, as it gained the status as the most liked photograph shared by a designer during fashion month. Props to Kendall.
