It looks like Reese Witherspoon has taken a leaf out of Princess Diana’s style book. Following the announcement of her divorce from Jim Toth earlier this month, the actor has stepped out in a serious breakup look – and hasn't gone unnoticed.
For the premiere of the new Apple+ series The Last Thing He Told Me, she made an appearance in a one-shoulder LBD by Givenchy, matched with pointed pumps, Tasaki jewellery and a soft Hollywood-glam wave. But die-hard Witherspoon fans were quick to note that this wasn't her first revenge dress outing.
After her split from Ryan Philippe in 2007, she opted for a sunshine-bright yellow mini dress that semaphored nothing if not 'I got this', proving that not all revenge dresses have to be black. Six years on, her approach might be more muted but it signals the same message: she’s got this.
