Jennifer Lawrence’s Latest Pregnancy Outfits Are Even Better Than We Expected – And Here’s The Proof

Maternity dressing doesn't always allow for the most appealing of outfits. After all, tent-like dresses, stretchy jeans and dungarees have become the go-to for baby bump style, whether we like it or not. And yet, some soon-to-be mums seem to look incredibly elegant in a way that immediately makes us want to take note. Case in point? Jennifer Lawrence.

Currently pregnant with her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, Lawrence has been exhibiting some seriously good outfits of late. Most recently, she attended The Governors Awards (a celebration of contributions in the film industry) in a custom conker-brown Bottega Veneta dress, Ana Khouri jewellery and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Wearing #newBottega in the shade of the season while heavily pregnant? What a coup.

Securing a spot on our pregnancy dressing moodboard, Lawrence also recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of Bread & Roses, a raw depiction of Afghan women, which she co-produced alongside Malala Yousafzai. There, she wore an all-black vintage Christian Lacroix Haute Couture look from the label's autumn/winter 2006 collection.

Styled by Jamie Mizrahi, Lawrence often wears archive pieces. In fact, Mizrahi pulled a second look for the Bread & Roses premiere: a black wool suit from John Galliano autumn/winter 1995 collection.

She also opted for a more structured white Dior dress for the Zurawski V Texas premiere. Here, she belted it above the bump to add extra shape to the look while still sticking within the neutral colour palette. Sometimes, you can’t go wrong with a great classic shade range (plenty of which we've found below) and, clearly, we shouldn't shy away from a belt when a bump is present.

The diversity of Lawrence's looks prove that there aren't (or shouldn't be, anyway) any hard and fast rules when it comes to dressing up when you're pregnant. Whether you want something form-fitting, structured or flowing and loose, it's best to stick to what makes you feel most comfortable.
