Meanwhile, Gillian Anderson, who will play Margaret Thatcher in season four, went for a navy velvet dress and a matching cape, which she accessorised with a scarf. Bonham Carter had recently told how Princess Margaret was typically (and hilariously) rude when they met. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, she described how ‘typical’ Margaret gave her a backhanded compliment. ‘Margaret was on her own with a drink in her hand and she talked to me,’ she added. ‘She said, “Oh, Helena, you are getting better, aren’t you, at acting.” Typical Margaret!'
