The BRIT Awards 2019: The Best Looks From The Red Carpet

It's BRIT awards time again, which means we can get all nostalgic about the glory days of British politics when the biggest story of the day was then-deputy Prime Minister John Prescott punching one of Chumbawumba in the face after they chucked a bucket of water over him.

We still don't know what the big controversial moment of tonight's awards will be - maybe shadow chancellor John McDonell will get into a punch up with the 1975, or Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson will have a slanging match with Little Mix by the bar? Who knows. In the meantime, we've rounded up some of our favourite looks so far from the red carpet. There were plenty to pick from, not least because this has been declared the year of women at the awards, with female artists dominating the shortlist.

Whether this leads to a female-dominated winners' board - and more parity in the music industry as a whole - remains to be seen. Watch this space...
