While excitement mounts over the release of Avengers: Endgame, the stars put on their gladrags for the premiere of the film in LA, with impressive results. Given the sheer amount of A-listers in the Marvel cast, you'd expect a pretty great turnout – and the premiere certainly delivered that.
Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, Zoe Saldana, Tessa Thompson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Evangeline Lilly all looked incredible, while many were surprised to see Natalie Portman in attendance. While she played Jane Foster, astrophysicist, in both Thor and Thor: The Dark World, there were rumours that she didn't return for the third Thor film or any of the Avengers films because Marvel weren't going to be working with director Patty Jenkins. So, her appearance at the premiere has led some to suggest she has returned for this final installment.
Naturally, the most recognisable of the Avengers were also out in force. Robert Downey Jr. pulled some Iron Man-esque poses on the red carpet with his wife, Susan Downey, while Mark Ruffalo turned up with his entire (adorable) family.
Initial reactions to the film have suggested that it's as emotional as it is funny, suggesting that some of the key players may not be returning for any future films. While we'll have to wait and see whether that happens, at least we can enjoy the fashion feast that was the premiere...
