Zara McDermott has taken to social media to show support for Georgia Harrison after she claimed earlier this week that ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear had secretly filmed her using CCTV. Georgia, posting about the allegations of her Instagram Stories, told followers that: 'Bear has CCTV around his house, he purposely got me in a position where he knew it would be on CCTV quite a long time ago and after acted like he forgot the cameras were there.'
She continued, 'Since being away I have met 2 more people he has shown and even seen a screen recording so I have no other choice but to go public about this situation not just for me but for anyone that has been round there not knowing they are being filmed.'
Now, Zara has responded to Georgia (with both girls being former Love Island villa veterans), posting on her Story to tell fans, 'I just want to send all my love and support to @georgialouiseharrison ❤️.'
Zara explained that the allegations, and all cases where material is taken without consent, are 'incredibly [frustrating]' to her, and something that she is passionate about given that she's currently producing a documentary on revenge porn together with the BBC.
She said, 'Please send your love and support to Georgia. And also, as much as we are all human beings, do not contribute to the problem by trying to locate that material that was taken without her consent. I just want to emphasise that by doing this you are feeding the appetite for these kinds of things which needs to stop. This young woman has been violated and needs our support.'
Zara is not the first celebrity to show support for Georgia after she spoke out about the claims earlier this week.
Indeed, fellow Love Islander Olivia Attwood took to her Stories to raise awareness of the claims, writing, alongside a photo in Dubai, 'I'm so angry this morning I can't even put it into words, so furious that some pig thought he could take advantage of your trusting nature.Just know we have got you, karma will do its thing.'
TOWIE star Fran Parman shared Olivia's sentiment, posting on her Stories to say that she wished she was by Georgia's side 'to cuddle [her].' 'I will be by your side as soon as I can,' she said.
