Lana and Ron

It seemed like love really was in the air for villa sweethearts Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall

That is, until the 25-year-old financial advisor was snatched by bombshell Ellie Spence, who arrived alongside professional vibrator seller Spencer Wilks.

Despite the steal, Lana insisted that her and her beau were still going strong - but after spotting Ron looking pretty pleased with his new housemate, fans are convinced Lana's on a one way street to heartbreak.

After bombshell Ellie shared that she didn't believe Ron had 'met his match' inside the villa yet, viewers noted that Lana looked slightly more upset than her new flame.

One fan said, "Ron is like the cat that got all the cream... endless options," whilst another added "Lana's going to be the first to end up heartbroken."

After being picked by Ellie, Ron went straight to making sure the newest islander felt right at home - quite literally.

Upon tucking himself into bed (with Lana just beds away, FYI), Ron proceeded to welcome Ellie into her new home whilst fluffing up their pillows ready for her to jump in. Unexpectedly, viewers weren't all too impressed with the not-so-suave move.

One fan took to Twitter to praise Lana for handling the stinging comment, writing 'Ron calling his bed a home to another girl as Lana is across the room... Ooo, she's a better woman than me.'

But despite Ron's claims that only a 'nuclear bomb' could turn his head from bubbly blonde Lana, not everyone is so convinced.

Ex islander Dami Hope even weighed in on the situation, tweeting, 'I think deep down Ron wants someone more spicier that just looks like Lana.' And as villa alumni himself, we know he knows best.

The drama comes just days after fans saw Lana and Ron brand themselves one of the 'strongest' couples in the villa. A move which, in itself, hints that they're the complete opposite.

It's a Love Island given that couples will battle to be the strongest, and therefore one step closer to winning the ultimate prize of £50,000.

But in reality, you can guarantee the strongest couple is the pair that's talking about it the least.

Joking about Rana (or Lon?), one fan wrote 'Lana and Ron think they're Molly and Tommy but in reality they're Liberty and Jake.'

OG fans will remember Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, who stunned Winter Love Island fans back in 2020, after the pair called it a day on their relationship and heartbroken Liberty left the villa. In touching scenes that had many households grabbing the tissues and shedding a tear, a devastated Lib shared how she felt the affection had died out between her and boyfriend Jake.

Despite seeming like the strongest couple (and rambling on about it a whole load too), Liberty and Jake proved that anything can happen inside those villa walls.

Albeit, it is Love Island and connections move faster than we do leaving the pub early to watch the show, but to label yourself the strongest couple hints at one thing - that you're almost certainly too busy watching and comparing yourselves to everyone else.

This early in, Islanders who are too busy branding themselves as the strongest couples rather than wrapped up in their love bubble are sending out some vibes - and it's giving off gameplay.

And the irony of Lana and Ron finding themselves pretty shook up just hours after their super-strong chat wasn't lost on viewers...

After quoting Lana and Ron's, one fan added 'If this isn't game player talk then I don't know what is. Ron and Lana, give us a break!'

And hitting out with some handy relationship advice, one viewer shared 'Manifesting Ellie and Ron hit it off because Lana's always in every other couples business when she should be focused on her own.'

Whether Lana and Ron will make it through yet another test, only time will tell. But one thing's for sure - it's bound to bring some drama.
