Everyone and their dog may be focusing on what wedding dress Meghan Markle will be wearing on Saturday, but if Prince Harry's suit is anything like his brother Prince William's, we're in for a spectacular design there too.
Will he wear a military uniform? Will he opt for royal Morning Dress? Will he alter his suit to the nth degree as Prince William did? We have SO many questions...
And it seems royal experts do too, as there are clashing reports on what we can expect to see. While Alastair Bruce, a royal expert and officer of arms told Cosmopolitan it would be unlikely to see him in military uniform, Corporal Adam Caunter, who is part of the Commando IX Group Royal Marines that will perform a royal salute as Prince Harry and Meghan pass by in their carriage, is convinced he will be in his ceremonial uniform of the Royal Marines.
Bruce told the publication, 'as Prince Harry is no longer a serving officer in the Armed Forces, it is unlikely he will wear a uniform. However he could, if he wishes, as he holds a special position as a Member of the Royal Family,'
'If [Prince Harry and Meghan Markle] choose to marry in St. George's Chapel, as the Earl of Wessex did, I would expect he would choose Morning Dress.'
Since the wedding is taking place in St. George's Chapel, Bruce's suggestion means Prince Harry would wear something like this...
However, if Corporal Caunter is correct, his suit will be much more lavish. He told the Telegraph, 'I think he’ll be in his Blues, which is what we’ll be wearing, and that gives us a special connection. It’s something we’re very proud of.'
As Harry has just taken over as Captain General from his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, wearing the uniform would be a sign of respect. Plus, it would be an ode to his military past. 'His history reflects ours. He’s one of us. He’s served in the front line, just as we have,' Corporal Caunter continued. Should Prince Harry wear his 'blues' he would be dressed more like this...
So will he go low-key or jazz it up with his military uniform? Or, will he go completely rogue and wear something no one would expect? It's something we'll have to wait until Saturday to find out for sure. In the mean time, we've taken a look at all of the royal grooms throughout the years to get a better idea of Harry's wedding attire...
