Victoria Beckham has confirmed that she and husband David will attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 19 nuptials.

Last night, the designer appeared on James Corden’s The Late Late Show to promote her latest collaboration with Reebok.

But there was only one question on everyone’s lips: has she received an invitation to the event of the year?

When asked if the A-list couple will attend the royal wedding, she stumbled over her words.

“I, uh, I... I don’t know,” she replied.

To which Corden teased: “She’s totally going.”

And the former Spice Girl eventually caved into the rumours, as the 43-year-old replied: “Yes. England is so excited. It is so great, isn’t it? They look so happy.”

Victoria reportedly became close friends with Meghan shortly after she relocated to the UK and the former Suits actress regularly seeks sartorial advice from the designer.

A source told Vanity Fair: “Meghan really likes Victoria’s style and was keen to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe.”

They continued, 'She loves Victoria’s elegant but smart dresses, so expect her to wear one very soon.'

Though it’s hardly surprising, as the royal-to-be donned a cashmere knit by the designer’s eponymous label in the couple’s engagement photographs.

But rumours backing the theory that Victoria is behind Meghan’s wedding dress were quickly shut down by the designer during her recent interview.

She told Corden: 'Sadly, I'm not but I'm sure she'll look incredible.'

That’s one label crossed off the list.

But the news will come as a blow to Meghan's estranged family. Her half-sister, Samantha Grant, was particularly hurt after news that the couple have invited '1,000 complete strangers' while a few members of her family are still awaiting an invitation.

She tweeted: 'Family is family. I have an uncle I have only seen once by I would never say he is not family because we are not close. Humanitarians move forward with love and kindness especially to family.'

Meghan's estranged sibling added: 'Smoke and mirrors cannot hide the elephant in the room. Out of respect, tradition and humanitarianism, the #Markles should be invited if 2,000 complete strangers are invited.'

'Our uncle who got her the internship, brother, me, best friend of 30 years Nikki Priddy, nephews. Fact.'
