We imagine the contacts book of an A-lister must be pretty impressive — imagine all the famous actors, singers and models you’d meet just doing your job — which is why we’re never really surprised when we see pictures of the rich and famous hanging out with the other rich and famous. That being said, there are some A-list friendships that really throw us for a loop, and they usually come as a result of Instagram.
Case in point: over the weekend, Adele took to Instagram to share a funny belated birthday post for Nicole Richie. Did you know the two were friends? No, we didn’t either — but looking at the silly pictures and videos Adele shared, it’s safe to say this isn’t a new friendship.
These two aren’t the only surprising A-list friendship, either. There’s our obvious favourite of all-time: Jennifer Aniston, Ed Sheeran and Courteney Cox. Jen and Courteney aren’t a mystery, but we’ll never know how Ed managed to get in there. And then there’s Taylor Swift’s Squad (or Cardigan Crew), which seems to grow by a new celebrity every time we check.
