The 65th Grammy Awards brought a plethora of meme-able moments (Lizzo, we’re looking at you!), but perhaps the greatest of all was Ben Affleck looking like he’d rather be literally anywhere else.
Naturally the internet had a field day with the footage - which was subsequently dubbed 'Miserable Bennifer', especially after it seemed that the actor and his wife Jennifer Lopez had an argument on camera...
A lip reader even claimed that the singer was telling Ben, ‘Stop. Look more friendly. Look motivated’ to which he responded, ‘I might.’
But according to TikToker Almostanna – who worked as a seat filler at the Grammys and was sat next to the couple – Bennifer weren’t actually bickering at all and even found the whole situation hilarious.
Explaining what happened, she said, ‘I was just so lucky to be next to them! The whole time they were cute and s**t... JLo showed Ben Affleck the phone and was like, "Oh my God, honey, look at this meme circulating about you!" And he was like, "Oh God, this again." Like he knew during the performance that he was a meme!’
She continued, 'Like he knew, and he also chose just not to change his expression! Like I love how unbothered that is! So I know that she was like on her phone and saw it and was like, "Honey, this is so funny, look at this." And he was like, "Jesus Christ."
'But they were super lovey dovey, like their hands were always intertwined. I don't know how to describe it. But they just were! So it wasn't like, "Oh my God, this is going to lead to divorce!" Like, they were cute!'
It seems like looks can be deceiving, but this isn’t the first time Ben has been caught out.
Last month, the Good Will Hunting actor went viral at the premiere of Jennifer’s latest flick Shotgun Wedding after he failed to look impressed in front of the cameras while supporting his wife.
The pair were even spotted having an intense chat at one point, but we’ve surely learnt by now to take any Bennifer footage with a pinch of salt.
This is a case of resting b***h face if we’ve ever seen it!
