In a move that shocked no-one, Taylor Swift has officially been announced as TIME Magazine's Person of the Year. What did surprise fans however, was that Taylor Swift decided to share her official cover shoot with another individual: her pet cat Benjamin Button.
Ahh, you’ve got to love Taylor Swift. From insuring her legs to hiding in suitcases to avoid paparazzi (yes, seriously), the pop star always has something hidden up her sleeve. And in an impressive turn of events, it seems her pets are just as mega dramatic as she is.
And apparently they're worth nearly as much as she is as well.
Avid cat lover Taylor Swift has three pet cats: Benjamin Button (who featured on TIME Magazine's 2023 cover with the Anti-Hero singer), Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey.
Olivia and Meredith are both Scottish Folds who have been with Taylor Swift since 2014 and 2011 respectively, whilst Benjamin is a Ragdoll who joined the Swift family in 2019.
According to the 2023 Pet Rich List (an actual thing), Olivia Benson - the cat, not the character from Law and Order who is likely worth significantly less - has a net worth of $97million.
This is due to Olivia Benson's 'work' in the world of Instagram influencing, starring in several of Taylor Swift's music videos including Blank Space, a merchandise line which was launched in 2018 and cameos in many big budget ads.
As the ultimate cat woman, Taylor Swift’s furry friends have very much become a major part of her brand – with Swifties around the world fawning over pets Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and newest addition Benjamin Button who was famously adopted after Taylor saw him on the set of the ME! music video.
Luckily, Taylor Swift regularly treats her fans to snippets of her life as a cat mum over on her Instagram, previously calling the three fluffballs 'the most influential factor in my life.'
Plus, if you were lucky enough to attend Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour, then you might remember Olivia Benson appearing alongside big sis Meredith Grey in an intermission video.
Sadly, Meredith Grey and Benjamin Button failed to make it onto the 2023 Pet Rich List, with middle child Olivia Benson managing to out-earn them both, but frankly, that's a rare win for us middle children everywhere. Fingers crossed they all make a grand appearance in Taylor Swift's upcoming film...
