Well, it might not be the Spice Girls reunion we were expecting. But we have a Spice Girls reunion. Of sorts!
The world-famous girlgroup have reunited for Pride, to model a t-shirt designed by Victoria Beckham, aka Posh, which has the iconic slogan: 'Proud and wannabe your lover.' (Now all we want is for VB to join them on their next tour, as she didn't for their 2019 reunion gigs.)
'Happy #PrideMonth from me and the @spicegirls,' VB wrote on Instagram. 'I’m so excited to share this year’s Pride T-shirt with you! For the third year in a row we’ve partnered with the wonderful @aktcharity, this year with a special Wannabe T-shirt.' Click through on Victoria's post to see pictures from all five women.
And, in case you're wondering, the designer clarified that all of the money raised is going to go to akt, a charity helping LGBQT+ youth homelessness, so this is really a t-shirt, and a reunion, we can get behind.
Victoria added, 'Pride to me is a celebration of being completely yourself and this year’s T-shirt is a reminder of that. The Spice Girls really championed accepting yourself and others, being kind, having fun and just living your best life! The LGBTQ+ community is so close to my heart and I’m so proud to be supporting Pride 2021 with the girls and akt again this year.'
Mel B wrote alongside her gorgeous selfie, 'Good on our @victoriabeckham for designing these fab @spicegirls ‘wannabe’ Pride 2021 T-shirts. All of the proceeds go to charity so happy Pride month everybody!!' Meanwhile, Geri simply wrote, 'Be yourself, whoever you are.'
