Nobody missed Glastonbury more than Adele, who relived her iconic 2016 headline set over the weekend. Uploading some rare photos to Instagram, the singer was having the time of her life - ‘5 ciders in’ - as she dressed up in the outfit she wore during her 2016 set, as she watched her performance on TV. Incredible, unrelatable popstar behaviour.
Fans obviously loved it, and Adele now has over 4million likes on the photo set. And in amongst the comments, her rumoured boyfriend Skepta made a joke about Adele’s infrequent social media posts, writing, ‘Finally got your Instagram password lol.’ And Adele replied with a simple winking face and heart emoji.
The pair, both from Tottenham, were rumoured to be dating last October, following Adele’s split from husband Simon Konecki (with whom she shares son Angelo). Skepta was dating Naomi Campbell, but the couple split in April last year. A source told The Sun at the time, 'Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up. They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection. They’re spending more and more time together. Some of their friends are hoping and predicting they could end up being a great couple one day.’
Sad news though. Over the weekend, the singer squashed hopes of a new album coming any time soon to lift us from our lockdown blues. Replying to a fan who asked if the album was coming today, she commented, ‘Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient.’ That's us told, then.
