As if we needed another reason to love Ryan Gosling, the actor has just outdone himself by declaring that 'women are better than men.'

'They are stronger, more evolved,' Gosling told ES Magazine. 'You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.'

The star, who is currently promoting his latest film The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe, recently welcomed his second child Amada Lee with long-term girlfriend Eva Mendes. The couple have another daughter, Esmeralda, who was born in 2014.

Gosling also revealed that he is rooting for a female president. 'I think [the US] needs a woman's touch. I've always liked women more,' he explained. 'I was brought up by my mother and older sister. I found my way into dance class. My home life now is mostly women. They are better than us. They make me better.'

Don't mind us, Ryan, we're just over here melting.

When asked about the (extensive) attention that he receives from female fans, the actor said 'It's our time as men to be on the receiving end of the stick.'

'I grew up with women so I’ve always been aware of [the attention that women receive from men.] When my mother and I walked to the grocery store, men would circle the block in cars. It was very, very scary, especially as a young boy. Very predatory — a hunt.'

It's not the first time that Ryan has gushed about living in a household with a boy-girl ratio of 3 to 1. Speaking on *Good Morning America* last month, Gosling said ‘It’s heaven. It’s like walking through a field of flowers every day. I live with angels.’ Sigh.
