Rosie Huntington-Whiteley may be Britain’s most stylish polymath. She’s a supermodel (having walked for Prada and been the face of Burberry), an actor (Mad Max: Fury Road) and a businesswoman who has taken over the fashion and beauty worlds with apparent ease. Not to mention conquering Instagram, with a hefty 10.4m followers. It’s no wonder that, this week, Jimmy Choo have chosen her to be the latest face in their In My Choos series, rocking her favourite looks from the brand’s Cruise 2020 collection (and giving us some serious party shoe envy in the process).

The Devon-born 32-year-old lives in California with fiancé Jason Statham – who rose through the action movie ranks to become one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars – and their two-year-old son, Jack.

The couple may look like the epitome of Hollywood glamour but, Rosie tells Grazia, she is looking forward to coming home for Christmas, revealing they recently bought a house.

‘We’ll be in our new home in London this year with our family and friends,’ she says, adding, ‘I’m looking forward to long walks in the park, pub lunches, watching movies, eating, and relaxing – but mostly watching my son enjoy being with his family and everything that comes with the festive period.’

And what of her party-dressing tips? ‘I am inherently a jeans and T-shirt or leather pants and a great blouse girl, but I always take a risk and play around with shoes - that’s where you can add a little bit of fun, texture, colour, sparkle,’ she says. ‘I find shoes to be transformative, particularly to my mood. You’ll rarely see me in a flat, because the way I feel when I am in heels is just so empowered and I feel ready for the day in every way.’

Despite living the California dream in a spectacular ocean-side Malibu mansion, it’s clear that she and Jason, 52, miss the UK. ‘Mostly I miss the people,’ she agrees, ‘the British culture and humour.’ She even hints that a more permanent move back to the UK could be on the cards. ‘I have always seen a move back in the future, which I feel excited by,’ she says. ‘It’ll be a new chapter. Since becoming a mother, I have found a growing desire to be close to my roots. I’m very proud to be British and I think the UK is a really special place to raise a family.’

It’s not the only thing about Rosie that has changed since she became a parent. She admits to a newfound respect for working mothers. ‘I look up to mothers who are working, who are running a home,’ she says. ‘I have a lot of respect for that and, being a new mum, I love to hear all the stories.’

It was this love of sharing and hearing stories that inspired Rosie to launch Rose Inc, an online platform offering insider beauty content, last year. ‘It was really about creating a community of people who love beauty,’ she explains. ‘I really wanted to create a platform where people could come and learn, and I could share all of the things that I’ve picked up over the past 16 years as a model.’ And plans for 2020 are bigger and better. ‘Expect plenty more video tutorials, editorials and interviews alongside my favourite beauty brands, industry experts, artists and personalities in the business.’

Despite her success, Rosie says she’s had to deal with impostor syndrome. ‘I overcome doubt by having confidence and a really supportive team around me – my friends, my family, the people who I work with every day,’ she explains. ‘It’s also about taking that time to reconnect with yourself and figuring out what my limitations are, but also learning to push myself harder.’

One of those supportive people is Jason, who she met in 2010 (while shooting a Transformers movie), and to whom she’s been engaged for three years. So what’s behind one of Hollywood’s healthiest relationships? ‘Laughter,’ she replies. ‘A partnership is about being with someone you are deeply committed to. Someone you can communicate and laugh with, someone who hears you. Someone that you want to build a life with and make plans with, while encouraging and inspiring one another to grow and reach your full potential.’

OK, we’ve reached peak couple goals.
