Reese Witherspoon revealed on the Emmys 2024 red carpet that she is currently working on a project with a secret Real Housewives star. Reese, who owns the media company Hello Sunshine, told E! that she recently sat next to one of the Bravo stars on a flight and the pair are now working together.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has since revealed that it's her. Speaking on an Amazon live show she said, 'Yes, that was me that she was referring to.'

When asked by red carpet host Heather McMahan if she's a fan of the franchise, the Big Little Lies actor said, 'I've never watched [Real Housewives] and I feel like I can't catch up, but I did sit next to a Real Housewife on a flight recently.' The reporter then asked, 'Are we going to name names?' And Reese responded, 'Well, we might have a Hello Sunshine project cooking now. I can't say anything, but it was cool. It was really cool.'

After a childhood spent performing and starring in shows like Little House on the Prairie, since 2010, Kyle has been the main character of her Real Housewives series. In recent years, she's also dabbled in producing while working on the Brave series American Woman, so it makes sense that she is currently working with Reese's production company.

Given Hello Sunshine's track record of female-led stories that 'broaden perspective and empower women by giving them authorship, inspiring agency, and creating a platform to help them shape culture' (as per the website), perhaps this project will show Kyle in a new light. For fans of the franchise, it sounds like a match made in heaven.

Reese's projects include hit shows such as Big Little Lies, The Morning Show, in which she stars, as well as Daisy Jones & The Six, Little Fires Everywhere and Where the Crawdads Sing. Hello Sunshine has won 15 awards and counting across the Emmys, Golden Globes and SAG too, so the story is in the right hands.

The Real Housewives franchise includes 14 different shows, but we don't yet know if any of her multiverse co-stars will feature in the project. Some of the most famous Bravo housewives are Lisa Vanderpump, Bethenny Frankel, Lisa Rinna, NeNe Leakes, Heather Dubrow, Ramona Singer and Kandi Burruss.

Interestingly, Kyle's sister is Kathy Hilton meaning Paris Hilton is her niece. We know that Paris and her long-term bestie Nicole Richie are working on a Simple Life reboot called New Era, so perhaps there's scope for a reality show crossover there too.
