Rebel Wilson was never going to play it safe hosting this year's BAFTAs - and she did not disappoint. Kicking off the ceremony she announced: 'Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and gender fluid youth. Welcome to the 75th and final EE British Academy Film Awards. You guys might be like, "Why is Rebel Wilson hosting the BAFTAs? Isn't she Australian?" Yes, I come from the bush, but if you think about it don't we all?'

In her hilarious opening monologue, the actress referenced her recent weight loss, saying, 'A lot of people have asked me why did you lose weight? Clearly it was to get the attention of Robert Pattinson... No, seriously, I did not lose weight for a guy, I lost it to get more acting roles.'

Rebel got a big laugh calling out House Of Gucci__ nominee Lady Gaga: 'Apparently they all had Italian accents in that film, I didn't notice.' She also took aim at the Bond franchise, saying, 'we wanted to open the show with a Bond number because Bond is turning 60 - and his girlfriends are turning 25', before announcing herself as the next Bond: 'Bond goes to Australia. Die Another G'Day'. (Yes, we would watch this film).

Later in the ceremony, she made a joke about Prince Andrew, which made the audience at the Royal Albert Hall gasp. 'I was going to do a musical number as host,' she said. 'It was about Prince Andrew, though. No! It's not what you think! It was on roller skates and it's called Pizza Express. But don't worry I'm not going to sing. I'm saving my voice for the sequel to Cats.'

Introducing nominee Emilia Jones to perform the Joni Mitchell song Both Sides Now from the film CODA, Wilson talked about the differences between American Sign Language and British Sign Language, before adding, 'In all languages, the sign for Putin is this', giving him the middle finger.

Handing out 'Rebel BAFTAs' she joked, 'The real award is that golden mask you've seen, but mine are my old bras that I've dyed gold.' Prizes she awarded included, Best Actor In The Room Who Reminded Me He's Married for Benedict Cumberbatch, while 20-year-old CODA actress Emilia Jones got 'The Person Leonardo DiCaprio Would Find The Most Attractive In the Crowd', saying, 'he does like them young'. Ouch.
