All The Incredible Highlights From Rebekah Vardy’s Interview About The Coleen Rooney Drama

Apparently arguing with Coleen is 'as pointless as arguing with a pigeon', because 'you can tell it that you are right and it is wrong, but it's still going to shit in your hair.'

This week, the greatest celebrity story of all time unfolded. We are sure you all know it by now, but we’ll run through Wag Wars again quickly. Coleen Rooney, in the most iconic celeb statement ever, said (someone with access to) Rebekah Vardy’s Instagram account had been selling stories to The Sun. Coleen - or Wagatha Christie{ =nofollow}, as she is now affectionately known - caught Rebekah, by deliberately posting fake stories to her close friends on Instagram, which she had narrowed down to only include Rebekah.

Rebekah wasn’t having any of it, posting a statement online to deny the whole affair - reminding us all that she is heavily pregnant. She has now flown home from holiday and is apparently instructing a forensic specialist to prove that other people had access to her Instagram and that it wasn't her who was selling Coleen's stories.

But, now, Rebekah has now given her side of the story to The Daily Mail (in an interview which she was not paid for, instead making a donation to Mind).

When describing the phone call after Coleen posted the statement, Becky (as she is referred in the interview) essentially said it would be pointless to argue with Coleen, likening a war of words to fighting with a pigeon. 'That would be like arguing with a pigeon,’ she told the paper. ‘You can tell it that you are right and it is wrong, but it's still going to shit in your hair.'

Regardless of whether she did or she didn’t sell the stories, Rebekah has said she has received a disgusting torrent of abuse. ‘I wasn't going to say anything but it has gone so extreme,’ she added. ‘I have been told that I should die, that my children should die, my unborn child should die. It would be unacceptable for anyone. I am tough, but this has made me cry. It is hard to explain how horrible it has been.’

The interview details how Coleen had blocked Becky once, but that Coleen unblocked her, telling her that there wasn't a problem between the pair. She also says that she ‘was on a plane to Dubai’ when the story about Coleen’s basement flooding was published. It ends with Rebekah saying the whole affair has gone ‘beyond an apology’.

LIterally, who knows what will happen next.

Victoria Beckham

One half of the indestructible Beckham brand, Victoria was the original Queen WAG in 2006. At the time Victoria had been married to David for seven years and had just given birth to her third boy, Cruz. She had also just launched her denim line, dvb Style and walked the catwalk for Roberto Cavalli. Over a decade later, she is a fully fledged and well respected fashion designer, with a fourth addition to her brood – the adorable Harper.

Coleen rose to fame as a WAG at just 20 years old. Coleen and Wayne are married and they celebrated their ten-year anniversary in 2018. However, Wayne's repeated cheating has strained the relationship over the years. They have four children together, Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass. Since 2006 Coleen has released a fitness DVD, been a style advisor for Littlewoods and even had a column with us in Closer magazine.

How could we forget Cheryl as a WAG? Back then, 23-year-old Cheryl was a popstar in Girls Aloud who had just married Ashley Cole. Nowadays, Cheryl is a household name and a worldwide celebrity in her own right. After splitting from Ashley in 2010, she had a successful (well, successful-ish) solo career, was a judge on The X Factor and was the face of beauty brand L'Oreal. She married Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in 2016 but they divorced three months later. Most recently, Cheryl separated from One Direction singer, Liam Payne, who she has a baby son called Bearwith.

She has three sons, Archie, Harry and George with her now ex-husband Jamie O'Hara. Danielle gave birth to a fourth child with her husband Michael O'Neill, Ronnie, in 2017.
