Last night, Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed her first night out since March 2016. And there's us convincing ourselves that we deserve a well-earned night on the town...
Yesterday evening, Her Majesty was photographed arriving at The Ivy in Covent Garden for a meal with close friends.
According to The Telegraph, the Monarch attended an invitation-only birthday event alongside guests including cousin Prince Michael and comedian David Walliams.
The restaurant choice was a change for the Queen, as she normally frequents Ballamy’s in Mayfair, which is reportedly the only restaurant in the capital that she has ever dined in. She even celebrated her 80th birthday there.
And the Queen certainly dressed for the rare outing, as she donned a silver dress and shall which she accessorised with a clutch depicting an image of sister Princess Margaret and her children. How sweet.
So keep your eyes out next time you're dining in London. As you never know, the Queen may turn up...
