If you thought Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were ticking off all the traditional life goals in an accelerated time frame (a first date, an engagement, a huge royal wedding and a pregnancy announcement in just over two years? Consider it done!), they’re in fact taking their sweet time compared to Meghan’s BFF (and royal wedding attendee) Priyanka Chopra and her fiancé Nick Jonas, who are reaching relationship milestones at dizzying speed. According to TMZ, the youngest Jonas Brother dropped a cool $6.5 million on a luxurious LA home for him and his girlfriend three months before proposing.
The picture-perfect abode is situated in Beverly Hills Post Office (which is, in fact, not actually a Post Office but an area adjacent to Beverly Hills, which shares the same post code) and features five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms over 4,129 square feet. According to TMZ, it also boasts ‘expansive canyon views, a floating guest wing and an extended wood terrace that wraps around the swimming pool.’ (Apparently the ‘floating’ effect is a common feature for homes on LA’s mountainsides, and it’s super-reinforced to withstand earthquakes.)
The latest reports suggest that the actress and the singer are planning to tie the knot towards the end of the year, just seven months after they started dating. The couple are thought to have booked the Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel in Jaipur, which sources have described as their ‘dream wedding venue.’
It’s thought that the celebrations will last three days, kicking off on 30th November and continuing until 2nd December. 200 guests have reportedly been invited – though there’s no official word yet on whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be making the trip to India to mark the occasion.
Priyanka and Nick announced their engagement in August, sharing matching Instagram posts after having a traditional Roka ceremony (the first celebration of a couple’s intention to marry) in Mumbai, attended by their families.
