Priyanka Chopra Is Just As Unsure About Life In Her Mid-30’s As The Rest Of Us

Priyanka Chopra may be a multi-faceted global entertainer, a world-renowned philanthropist, frequent guest on Forbes' most powerful women list, and married to one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors, but rest assured, she's just as unsure about where to go in life as the rest of us.

Starting her new YouTube Original series this week, she released her first episode on her YouTube channel where she seeks the advice on three women whom she seeks inspiration from. The first half-an-hour episode of 'If I Could Tell You Just One Thing' follows Priyanka as she as intimate conversations with Simone Biles, Awkwafina and Diane Von Furstenberg- also revealing personal details about her own life.

The theme of the series, and her personal words, were what caught everyones attention though, as she revealed that getting married made her question what she wants in life. 'I feel like right now where I am - in my mid-30s - I’m trying to figure out where I go next,' she said, ' getting married really made me think about what the next chapter is.

As she learns three key pieces of advice from each woman, which include doing things your afraid of, she gave viewers an insight into her wedding and how scared she was to walk down the isle. 'It’s scary shit man, getting married,' she tells her friends, laughing.

However, it was becoming a wife that she found more difficult. 'I initially felt a little bit more stressed about the fact that I’m a wife and [thought I] have to do everything right,' she continued, 'I think once we found our groove I realised that the beauty of being married is you can be completely who you are and the other people loves you and that’s like “oh?”, there’s a sense of calm.'

While Priyanka may have found peace in the security marriage brings, she still had many questions for the women, including how to cope with failure and what she should do next in her life. Diane Von Furstenberg may have told her to have children next, to which she laughed and said 'I want to, it's not like I don't want to of course,' but she also had one key piece of advice that we could all learn from.

She’s incredibly talented

First and foremost, she's a great actress, in fact she's one of India's highest paid and TIME magazine named her one of the most influential women in the world. After being crowned Miss World in 2000, she began her career in acting starring in science fiction film Krrish and Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion – a film about the Indian fashion industry. She’s not afraid to call people out

Priyanka hasn't shied away from being frank in interviews, she's spoken about the gender pay gap in Hollywood, how she was passed over for a role because of her skin colour and criticised the wayVanity Fairportrayed Meghan Markle on their cover, calling it sexist. More recently she's spoken up about the controversial Simpson's character Apu, saying; 'He was the bane of my life growing up, for sure. I was always asked when I was in high school at 14, 15, why I didn't speak like that. Or are my parents doctors (which they are)? Did I find gold in my rivers? Did I go to school on elephants? I always had questions like that,' Chopra saidin an appearance on TV show The View. 'So I think, yes, it is a time where, why try to erase stereotype? Yes, it is a cartoon. Yes, it's a pop culturally super successful show. But that gives it more responsibility. It's out of date on so many levels,' she added.

'The most important relationship in life is the one you have with yourself, period,' Diane said, before stating that it's also important your partner loves themselves and owns who they are. With stellar advice such as that, Priyanka's new series is set to be another of her many successes'. In fact, the episode already has near 2 million views and almost 50,000 likes.
