It turns out a royal wedding was exactly what we all needed to cheer us up. On Friday, we were all shocked to find out Princess Beatrice had finally marriedEdoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a secret ceremony that morning, after they were forced to push back their plans due to the pandemic.
Scaling down the guests from 150 to around 20, Beatrice and Edoardo decided to hold a small private ceremony at Windsor Castle, which Buckingham Palace said was attended by the Queen, Prince Philip and the couples' parents and siblings. Edoardo's son, Wolfie, acted as best man and pageboy. (The Palace also stated that the service took place within government guidelines, with no hymns sung.)
But, sweetly, no photos were revealed on the big day itself - as the couple didn't want to take the attention way from Captain Tom Moore, who was knighted on the same day by the Queen. Aww. However, the photos were released over the weekend - and honestly, we're still stunned at how gorgeous Beatrice's dress - a vintage number by Norman Hartnell{
Sister Eugenie reposted the images herself today, writing: 'Couldn't Bea happier (get it)... What a complete joy and privilege to watch you, my beautiful big sister, walk down the aisle to dear Edo. I am so proud of you and I'm so excited to support you in the next chapter of your life. We are going to have so much fun together. Happy wedding day to you both.'
Here are all the photos we've been blessed with so far...
