It’s been an exciting week for the royal family, with the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child, Prince Louis, and the announcement that the Duke will be acting as best man at his brother Prince Harry’s upcoming nuptials to Meghan Markle. But one royal who has escaped all the excitement is Princess Beatrice, the eldest daughter of the Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson and the cousin of Princes William and Harry.
According to pictures shared on Instagram, the seventh-in-line to the throne was on holiday at the time of the new baby’s birth, on 24 April. A picture shared by Misha Nonoo, date stamped for 24 April, shows the Princess in the Wadi Rum Desert in southern Jordan alongside an impressive A-list squad that includes Karlie Kloss, her boyfriend Joshua Kushner (the brother of Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared), and Ellie Goulding.
Nonoo of course has other links to the royal family – she is close friends with royal-to-be Meghan Markle, and was rumoured to have introduced her to fiancé Prince Harry. Markle wore a shirt called ‘the husband’ designed by Nonoo during one of her early appearances with the Prince, at the Invictus Games in Toronto last year.
Beatrice has come under fire for her extensive holidays in the past, once racking up an impressive 15 luxury vacations in 12 months back in 2015. She is known for being close to her cousins, and it is no surprise that her younger sister Princess Eugenie was one of the first to visit the new Prince earlier this week at Kensington Palace.
