He's previously spoken out about the difficulty of finding love in the public eye, but we'd hazard a guess that Prince Harry isn't exactly short of female 'admirers.'

A case in point? The Prince has just found himself on the receiving end of a very public marriage proposal - from an adorable 6-year-old fan. Can't blame a girl for trying...

Yesterday, the Prince travelled to Stockport in Greater Manchester to take part in a community rugby initiative run by StreetGames, a charity which aims to make sport more accessible across the UK.

After enjoying a quick game with some of the England under-20 rugby team, Harry took the time to chat to some local children who had gathered outside the playground to watch, putting their hands through the fence to high-five him.

Lottie, aged 6, decided to seize the moment by saying 'I want to marry you. I want to be a princess!' Lottie, we love your optimism.

Harry had the perfect response, answering: 'You don't want that - there's too big an age gap. You've been reading a lot of books.'

15-year-old Destiny Wong, a local sports ambassador, was full of praise for the Prince. 'He's a really genuine and down to earth guy,' she said. 'He was really encouraging [...] You wouldn't think a Prince would be like this. He doesn't come across as a Prince. He's too genuine. He was really encouraging with all the girls here.'
