Happy Birthday, Prince George! Can you believe it's been three years since the world's press waited outside the Lindo of St Mary's Hospital in anticipation of the arrival of the royal baby?
To mark the event, Kensington Palace have released four new photos of the Prince looking as adorable as ever as her plays in the garden of his home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
The first image, released to the @kensingtonroyal Instagram account, sees the young Prince walking through the grounds wearing cargo shorts and a Breton striped jumper, complete with a cute knitted whale motif.
For the rest of the photos, George is dressed in a more casual manner than we've seen him for a while, wearing a striped blue-and-white T-shirt with navy shorts and bare feet.
The third in line to the throne is seen standing on a wooden swing engraved with the names of his parents, William and Catherine, and jokily offering an ice cream to the family's beloved spaniel, Lupo.
George celebrated his birthday with a party at his family home, and was joined by his grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton, along with friends from the Westacre Montessori School.
According to a statement from Kensington Palace, 'the Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs. They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday.'
To mark recent occasions and birthdays, the young royals have often chosen to issue photographs shot at home by the Duchess of Cambridge, who is a keen amateur photographer. These pictures, however, were taken by photographer Matt Porteous in mid-July.
'I really enjoyed the opportunity to take these photographs of Prince George. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I'm honoured that they have decided to share these images with the public to mark his third birthday,' he said.
Many happy returns, George!
