Now that we've admired the best dressed women on the Oscars red carpet, it's time to shine the sartorial spotlight on Hollywood's most dapper men. From nominees Ryan Gosling and Mahershala Ali to presenters Jamie Dornan and Riz Ahmed, the Academy Awards was a lesson in sharp suiting.
So, let's hear it for the boys. You're welcome.
Dev Patel
Dev Patel: further shining proof of the Neville Longbottom phenomenon. The Lion star - and Best Supporting Actor nominee - wore a white and black ensemble by Brit label Burberry. There's also the fact that he took his mum, Anita, along as his date, which has warmed our hearts considerably.
Riz Ahmed
Rogue One and The Night Of star Riz Ahmed is having quite the moment right now - and deservedly so. He opted to swap the trad black tux for a royal blue suit by Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, leaving us wondering why we don't see actors colour blocking on the red carpet more often.
John Legend
Like his La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling, John Legend chose a Gucci suit for his Academy Awards appearance, though of the two, John's is the more traditional style. His cufflinks and shirt studs are from a collection by Monique Pean, all proceeds of which go to Emma Watson's #HeForShe campaign. Just when we thought we couldn't love him more...
Ryan Gosling
Is it sacrilegious to admit that this isn't our favourite of Ryan's recent ensembles? Probably. However, Ryan being Ryan, he still looks every inch the matinee idol in this Gucci ensemble. Bring Eva along next time, though?
Mahershala Ali
Best Supporting Actor winner Mahershala Ali (who has made history as the first Muslim actor to win an Oscar) looked sharp in an all-black ensemble by Ermenegildo Zegna Couture.
Andrew Garfield
Best Actor nominee Andrew Garfield kept things classic in a suit by the king of classy red carpet tailoring, Tom Ford. Now, for us to spend hours over-analysing gifs of his reaction to Emma Stone's Best Actress win, we think...
Jamie Dornan
Let's be honest: we probably would have featured Jamie Dornan on this list even in the unlikely event that he made his Oscars debut in a bin bag, because he is Jamie Dornan. Instead, he opted for this white tux, and looked very sharp indeed. (Please take a moment to appreciate how tempted we were to make some reference to the colour grey...)
