Yikes. Yesterday, Olivia Wilde was on stage at CinemaCon, when she was handed an envelope which, unbelievably, contained custody papers regarding her two children with Jason Sudeikis, eight-year-old son Otis and five-year-old daughter Daisy. The director was speaking about her upcoming film Don't Worry Darling, her current boyfriend. Needless to say, Jason has faced plenty of scrutiny for the timing of the papers although sources have told DailyMail.com that apparently Jason had no idea Olivia was going to be handed the papers in such a public way.
So, how did it get to this? Jason and Olivia met way back in 2011 at a Saturday Night Live wrap party, just after the pair were seperately going through divorces. Jason was splitting from screenwriter and filmmaker Kay Cannon, meanwhile Olivia had been married to filmmaker Tao Ruspoli. According to reports their relationship was very laid-back at first, with Olivia saying, ''I was just learning to be by myself; I'd been divorced nine months. We were both seeing people but were single. He seemed to really see me, see through the bullshit.'
Two years later, in 2013, the pair became engaged and in 2014 they welcomed their first child Otis, with Daisy arriving in 2016. Jason and Olivia gushed about each other in magazines, and their relationship seemed strong, until their shock split was announced towards the end of 2020, even though reports said the split actually happened earlier at the beginning of 2020. Obviously, it meant the pair never married.
Just days before the article announced the news in People, Olivia had been praising her now-partner Harry Styles, about his role in Don't Worry Darling, telling the publication: 'I did a little victory dance when we heard that we officially had Harry in the film, because we knew that he has a real appreciation for fashion and style.'
The news that Harry and Olivia were officially a couple broke on January 3 2021, at his agent's wedding in Montecito, California, when there were paparazzi pictures of the pair holding hands, meaning Harry and Olivia have been together for over a year. And with Olivia supporting Harry at his recent Coachella headline sets, it seems the pair are stronger than ever.
