Ever since we witnessed Netflix, who it was rumoured Joe wanted?

Instead of being based on the smash Netflix programme though, Varietyreport that the series is going to centred around the Texas Monthly article Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into The World Of A Man Gone Wild by Leif Reigstad. The publication also report that Cage will be executive producer and the script will be written by American Vandal showrunner Dan Lagana.

The eight episodes, which are being produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios, will explore how Joe Schreibvogel became the Joe Exotic and 'how he lost himself to a character of his own creation' - so, it's surely something to surely look forward to post-lockdown.

We are yet to know what the zookeeper himself - who is currently behind bars for 22 years for animal abuse and a murder-to-hire plot - thinks of the casting, as according to the show’s creators, Joe{ =nofollow}is dreaming of Brad Pitt sporting a mullet. ‘He would like Brad Pitt or David Spade to play him,’ creator Rebecca Chaikin told Rolling Stone last month.

Last week, Tiger King's other key character, Carole Baskin{ =nofollow}, was tricked into her first video interview following the series. YouTubers Josh Pieters and Archie Manners released a video claiming they hoaxed Baskin into the exclusive by pretending to work for US chat show host Jimmy Fallon and his talk show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
