Just when we thought Naked Attraction couldn't get any weirder, it proves us wrong. The wild Channel 4 show left viewers totally baffled last night, when a contestant revealed that he caused her a vaginal rip during sex - and sent her a Moonpig card afterwards. Yep, we really did not make that up.
On the latest episode of the series, IT consultant Iain, who moonlights as a wrestler, admitted when things had gone slightly wrong in the bedroom. ‘Being a wrestler, there’s a lot of power involved,’ he said. ‘So this one time, it was all going pretty well, I was putting the power down, and then I slipped out, and for me it was like punching a shark on the nose, banging against the wrong part you know, for her it sort of bled after that.’
Ouch.
It was when host Anna Richardson asked,whether he caused a vaginal tear, that Iain replied: ‘I sent her a Moonpig card.' To which Anna then laughed: 'Not flowers, not chocolates… amazing.'
I mean, better a Moonpig card than nothing - right? Anyway, turns out viewers found it equally hilarious/baffling/cringey. 'Nothing compensates a vaginal tear like a Moonpig card. FFS,' one wrote. Another added, 'Ian sending a moonpig card to apologise to a woman after performing a vaginal tear has left me speechless.' Another quipped that Iain was 'quite the gent'.
Anna herself later tweeted, '“I sent her a Moonpig card...” - Jet Fashion is a legend. First time I’ve properly lost it on set. #nakedattraction.' (Yes, Jet Fashion is his pro wrestler name, by the way.)
However, it all got rather awkward for Iain, as when he rejected a contestant, she quipped in her exit interview: ‘I’m not that disappointed, because at least you’re not going to smash my vulva and I’m going to get a Moonpig card in the post.'
