When [Love Island]{href='https://graziadaily.co.uk/life/tv-and-film/love-island-rules-3/' target='_blank' rel='noreferrer noopener'} sweethearts Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced their shock split earlier this month, it broke the internet. The pair – who have been together five years and engaged for one - shared separate statements informing their followers of their break-up on Instagram, but bar brief messages of thanks to their supporters earlier this week, they’ve since remained pretty tight-lipped on the situation.

Until, that is, Molly-Mae released a YouTube video, vlogging the past couple of weeks of her life. Unsurprisingly, the 25 year old didn’t go into too much detail surrounding her and Tommy’s split, explaining that she doesn't want to feed into the frenzy and problematic speculation that is currently occurring.

In the video’s introduction however, Molly-Mae briefly touched on what life has been like since announcing the break-up. She shared, ‘The last two weeks have been very very real. It’s real life and it’s something that we’ve been going through as privately as we can, but obviously it’s not privately whatsoever because I haven’t really been able to get away from it the last couple of weeks.

‘My coping mechanism for the past couple of weeks is talking to the people that I love and are so close to me and have been so incredible throughout this time and then coming on here and sort of just pushing forward.’

Interestingly, later on in the video Molly-Mae also opened up about how her daughter Bambi – who she and Tommy welcomed in January 2023 – was coping with the split.

‘I feel so incredibly close to her at the minute,’ Molly-Mae admitted. ‘She’s obsessed with me and it’s quite frankly scary. I can’t go to the toilet or leave the room without her crying her eyes out which is not really ideal.

‘I think she is having a little bit of attachment issues at the minute. I think she can definitely sense that there’s change and things are strange at the minute, I can really feel that she can sense that which is very interesting considering she’s just a baby – she’s not even two yet.’

A break-up is difficult at the best of times, but when a child is involved (and of course, when the split is so public) it's difficult to even imagine how one would cope. Molly-Mae – and Tommy, who has been spotted with Bambi on multiple occasions since the split - seems to be navigating this awful time incredibly well and just needs the continued support of her fans.
