First came Kylie Jenner’s absolutely lackluster approach to washing her face with her own products, then Kendall Jenner with the same hilariously quick cleansing when she posted a Proactive ad and now, Millie Bobby Brown has joined the race for what might be the weirdest face-washing technique of all time.
After launching her beauty brand, Florence by Mills, the actor decided to post a skincare tutorial on Twitter about the products. Except, she doesn’t actually appear to use any of them. At least, that’s what fans thought – and they weren’t quiet calling her out for it. So much so that she’s been forced to apologise, essentially confirming their suspicions at the same time.
Apparently applying an exfoliator, cleanser and moisturiser, in the video Millie doesn’t actually show herself squirting the products into her hands – she moves them out of frame – and then proceeds to rub what sounds like dry hands together before pretending to rub the product on her face.
Despite her stellar acting abilities, fans became suspicious when her face stayed exactly the same for the entire tutorial. Because honestly, who doesn’t look like a giant tomato between applying a scrub, cleanser and moisturiser?
After so much commentary – and a lot of hilarious memes – in response to the video, she’s now apologised on Instagram, stating that she was ‘replicating’ her routine. ‘I’m still learning the best way to share my routines as I get to know this space better – I’m not an expert,’ she wrote in an Instagram post.
‘I thought doing a quick video replicating my personal process for that night was okay, but that’s not what was conveyed,’ she continued. ‘I understand, I appreciate all of your feedback on this journey, please keep sharing your thoughts and I will too!’
Honestly, we can’t help but salute her. Because not only has the video spawned a thousand great memes, it’s the scamming tactics we only wish we had at 15 – we could probably be sitting on a fortune by now if we had her insight (and you know, ability to actually act).
Of course, people are now questioning the legitimacy of her line if she doesn’t actually use the products herself – but those people are actual adults who aren’t likely to be the target audience of her brand. Given the fact she’s literally a teen, we’re sure she’ll live and learn throughout this experience and maybe actually start washing her face in skincare tutorials – from the ‘process’ she was replicating, she certainly does a more thorough job than Kendall and Kylie.

She was able to breathe by wearing a Sea Trek helmet, which weighs approximately 70 lbs above water; it weighs 15 lbs beneath the surface of the water. The helmet was designed for shallow 'underwater walking'.
