Because, well, the Spice Girls have surivived once before, haven't they – when Geri took her hiatus back in 1998. And, like, Take That went on to do great things without Robbie... A Spice Girls 20th reunion could still be a winner with just four of the fine ladies, givin' it some extra Girl Power...
But alas, a shocking piece of news has come to our attention, which puts the very idea of any reunion at all in jeopardy. According to The Sun, Mel C has now pulled out of reunion talks too.
WE KNOW! And in spite of posting this recent throwback too...
A source told the paper, 'Mel C is out of the reunion for now.
'She has essentially left the band to focus on a more serious music career.
'She loves the girls but it just didn’t feel right for her to reunite with them at the moment.
'She has other priorities and obviously it was a bit of a problem that Victoria made it clear she wasn’t going to be part of the reunion.'
As the Spice Girls themselves would say:
'No, No, No, No...'
(And then: 'I know you're gone, You've said you're gone, But I can still feel you here'... Come back, Mel C, come back!)
