Mel B Just Said WHAT About Victoria Beckham?

Victoria Beckham and Mel B

What we know and love about Mel B is she has no problem speaking her mind... but it might turn out she spoke it a little too freely in a recent interview for a podcast on Allegedly.

UPDATE

In addition to what Mel B said about VB (for the full story, see below) she also revealed in the interview that she once got into a fight with a Spice Girls' rival – All Saints' Shaznay Lewis.

'There was this girl group called All Saints and I’d already beaten up one of them in the bathroom, the black girl, Shaznay,' Mel alleged. 'She started giving me attitude so I went into the bathroom and tried to rip her weave off. And she chokes me and then we kind of got split up, but I won.'

However, when contacted by the Digital Spy, Shaznay's representatives claimed that no such altercation ever took place.

'Shaznay says this story is not true,' her reps confirmed. 'Mel B once came to an All Saints show and was invited to the after party. Mel and Shaznay had a brief friendly chat and that was all.'

They added: 'Otherwise they don't really know each other – so we are baffled as to why Mel would make this up.'

And so the plot thickens. Did Mel B invent the tale? Or is Shaznay avoiding hoo-ha in view of All Saints' recent highly publicised reunion?

Mel, it's over to you again...

YESTERDAY

When told by show hosts she was very down to earth and seemed like the 'complete opposite' to Victoria Beckham, Mel B responded: 'She's very down to earth but she's just a little bit of a b*tch to people.'

SAY WHAT? Mel B calls VB a b*tch? Shut the front door...

It was all meant in good humour though, for Mel went on to say: 'She's very down to earth, she is, with a great sense of humour. I think between the five of us [Spice Girls] we're all b*tches at some point'.

PHEW!

To further emphasise the fact there's no bad feelings between the pair, Mel B had prefaced her comments with praise for Victoria and her work ethic. When asked about Victoria and David's lifestyle – 'Is that crazy to you? They're like royalty' – Mel had responded: 'Well, they are, but they've worked so hard for it. Like Victoria and her fashion line, she eats, lives and breathes it so... They deserves a lifestyle like that.'

When quizzed about whether the Spice Girls would ever reform, she was hopeful about the prospect, commenting: 'It's a never-ending question... but the thing is, we are in talks with each other closely about this [...] reunion. So until there's something official to say there's no point saying anything... [But] I do feel it's getting closer and closer to that point.'

The America's Got Talent (and former X Factor) judge also said in the podcast that she has a jokey relationship with AGT boss Simon Cowell. She revealed she tells him to 'shut the XXXX up' every now again, not least when he calls her 'fat' (as part of an on-going joke, mind...).

Oh Mel B... how we do love you so. If there's any podcast we WANNABE listening to this morning, it is surely this one.
